Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Calvary Crossroads is to worship our Lord Jesus Christ and reach out to others in fulfillment of His Great Commission by building a loving fellowship of committed believers.  To accomplish this, we commit:

TO EXALT our God through corporate and individual worship. “Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker” (Psalm 95:6).

TO EDIFY, encourage and build up one another in the Body of Christ. “So then let us pursue the things which  make
for peace and the building up of one a
nother” (Romans 14:19).

TO EQUIP God’s people for productive, fulfilling Christian lives and ministries. “For the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12).

TO EVANGELIZE those outside the family of God. “…and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth”  (Acts 1:8).

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team is comprised of elders, deacons, and staff who recognize the authority of God and realize that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ.  We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word.  Our goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ!

What we believe:

THE BIBLE:  We believe that the Bible, consisting of both the Old and New Testaments, is God’s infallible, inerrant Word, written by men who were uniquely moved by the Holy Spirit, and that it is our sole authority in all matters of faith and practice.  We affirm our belief in the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Scriptures in their original writings (2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:19-21).

GOD: We believe in one God, Creator of heaven and earth, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:4,5; 1 Peter 1:2).

GOD THE FATHER is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power. We rejoice that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 8:6; James 1:7).

GOD THE SON:  Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son, born of a virgin, sinless in life, who atoned for the sins of the
world by His substitutionary death on the cross. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His hight priestly intercession for His people, His lordship, and His personal, visible premillenial return to the world according to His promise (John 1:1,14; 10:30; Acts 1:9,10; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 7:25).

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. His work in the believer includes (but is not limited to): (1) Salvation, baptizing into the body of Christ, indwelling, sealing eternally; (2) progressive sanctification, gifting, filling, teaching, enabling; and (3) glorifying (John 14:16,17; 16:8-11; Romans 8:14-27; 1 Corinthians 12:4-13; Galatians 5:22,23; Ephesians 1:13,14; 5:18; 2 Timothy 1:7).

MAN: We believe that man was created in the image of God and was originally without sin. Because of the sin of Adam and Eve, all men are now sinners both  by nature and by choice. Man is unable to remedy his own lost condition. Every human being is capable, under God, of deciding for himself in the matters of faith and life.  Each man is also free to worship God according to the dictates of his own conscience (Genesis 1:26-30; 2:15-25; 3:1-24; Joshua 24:15; Romans 5:12; 14:5).

SALVATION: We believe that salvation is God’s gift to man in the person of Jesus Christ and through His work. Sinful man is saved from the eternal penalty of sin as a result of receiving Jesus Christ, by faith, as the Savior and Lord of
life. We believe that all who are born again through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ are eternally secure through His grace (John 1:12; 3:16; 5:24; 10:28;29; Romans 3:21-31; 5:8; 6:23).

THE CHURCH: We believe that the church is the Body of Christ which is made up of all born-again believers since Pentecost regardless of race, sex, or national origin, and will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. The local church is an organized body of immersed believers  voluntarily associated together for the worship of God, growth in godliness and sanctification, the fellowship of believers, the proclamation of the Gospel of Christ throughout the world, and the observance of the Biblical ordinances (believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper).  The Scriptural
officers of the church are described in 1 Timothy 3. The local church is independant and autonomous, and is free from all outside ecclesiastical or political interference (Matthew 16:18; 28:18-20; Acts 2:41-47; 4:32-35; 11:19-23; 1 Timothy 3:1-15).

SATAN:  We believe that Satan is a personal created being, a fallen angel, and the author of sin and the cause of the fall.  He is an open and declared enemy of God and man. He will be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire (Matthew 4:1-11; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 6:10-18; Revelation 20:10).

ETERNITY:  We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the believer and the non-believer. The saved will enjoy the wonders of God’s presence forever, and the lost will be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire (Malachi 3:18; Romans 6:17-23; Matthew 25:35-41; Luke 6:25; John 8:21).
